Preschool Gardening Club - April session (wait list only)

  • Corlears Hook Park 479 Cherry Street New York, NY, 10002 United States (map)

Our preschool gardening club welcomes children ages 2-4 to learn about our local plants, trees and wildlife. Little ones will participate in scavenger hunts, singalongs and story time outdoors in the park with a planting or craft project at each meeting. Projects will be to beautify our park and learn to grow plants from seedlings. Our community children will have the opportunity to play and learn in the outdoors and appreciate our environment.

Each session will be thirty (30) minutes long and are stand alone so you do not have to attend all of them. Weather permitting we will host three (3) sessions, one (1) each month April, May, and June. There will be separate registration for each event.

Registration will be limited to 25 people total (including kids and caregivers). Caregivers are expected to stay for the session as well.

All social distancing protocols will be in place and face coverings are required for all participants. A supply of hand sanitizer and face coverings will be made available for those who arrive without. In order for us to plan properly and to comply with NYC Parks Department requirements for holding events we ask you to register ahead of time for this event.

Due to overwhelming demand we have closed registration for this session as all spaces have filled up already. If you’d like to be considered for the waiting list please email us at contact@friendsofcorlears.org.
